Based in Mount Maunganui, NZ, the Mount Brewing Company lives and brews in the “best place in New Zealand”, where the sun never stops shining and the ocean and waves are their biggest inspiration. They were brewing craft beer before craft beer was even a thing, and the long summer days of the east coast are woven into the very essence of their distinctly fresh brews.
They started with what they had, making beers for people of all tastes, but as they pushed experimental boundaries and brought more mouth-watering brews to the good people of Mount Maunganui, they dreamed of building a brewery with equipment that reflected the quality of their beers.

A couple of beers and a bit of cosmic timing later and the Mount Brewing Company has teamed up with Auckland’s Funk Estate to become Brew Buddies, an all new hop-filled venture that is brewing the classic, laid back, Kiwi lifestyle and a whole lot of sunshine into every drop.
Mount Brewing Company brings the sun and sea, Funk Estate brings the state of the art equipment, and together with 20 years’ experience they are crafting beers that bring the Mount Maunganui sun to you no matter where you are. They believe that “good beers are for everyone” and have a different brew for every taste bud. With an impressive mixture of light malt bodies, full fruity aromas, big citrus flavours (and the occasional special editions), these brews will help you relax, unwind, and transport you to a simpler, sunnier place. It’s always summer at the Mount (or wherever you happen to be holding one of these sessionable beers).
