Clementine has been developed with the 4 families who make-up the Cooperative Saint-Sidoine in Puget-Ville, Var, France. The vineyard has a prime geographic location, with stony soil and a vine-friendly microclimate. Its vineyards cover 1,729 acres in the Cotes de Provence appellation. The Cooperative strives to achieve the best quality possible by honouring the terroir and following environmentally sound farming methods.
Coeur Clementine is the brainchild of St.Helena-born rose fanatic, Steve Veytia, who has lived in France for the past twenty-five years, Pierre Arosteguy, 5th generation curator of Maison de Arosteguy in Biarritz, France and Franck Bywalski, a native of Biarritz who is an expert on international distribution. Frustrated at the over-inflated pricing for the best Cotes de Provence roses, Steve set-out with Pierre to develop a Provence rose that would be at the pinnacle of the price/quality scale. As it turns out, the trio quickly realized they were capable of producing far more interesting and complex creations than other wines within the pricing segment.
