100% New Zealand Single Malt Whisky. New make spirit made from 100% Canterbury grown and malted barley. Mashed, fermented and double pot still distilled and aged more than 3 years in a 50 and 100 litre virgin French oak barrels in Christchurch NZ.

The Spirits Workshop began in late 2015 when four whisky lovers got together and bought a small still, curious to develop distinctly New Zealand spirits. Curiosity for great flavour is what drives their craft, makes their products unique and delights customers. Giving a personal story to what they create and sharing the knowledge of how their spirits are crafted is fundamental to the Spirits Workshop and forms the basis of their craft.

As the name suggests, The Spirits Workshop's story is the journey to develop within their workshop, NZ’s most enjoyed craft spirits. It began with the simple pleasure of sharing personal stories, ideas and dreams over quality food and beverages. These moments and reflections were always enhanced when there was knowledge around the flavours and a story behind the produce they were enjoying. New Zealand’s wines have a fantastic worldwide reputation and New Zealand craft beer is developing in leaps and bounds. At that stage there were no appreciable homegrown spirits to showcase the unique flavours of New Zealand. Their spirits of choice were whisky from Scotland, rum from the Caribbean or gin from the UK. Surely there was an opportunity to develop distinctly New Zealand spirits that could deliver a taste of New Zealand to the spirits world?
