Originally inspired by the humble ANZAC biscuit, Pan Pacific is brewed with golden syrup, suggestively named Golden Naked Oats and a combination of New Zealand Motueka and Australian Galaxy hops. Interesting fact – it’s actually illegal to use the word ANZAC in the name of any product other than ANZAC biscuits (which can’t be called cookies). Who knew?
Two brothers, a best friend and an old, run down converted petrol station was all it took to catapult The Garage Project into the popular craft beer scene. When Pete, Jos and Ian started it wasn’t even micro-brewing- it was nano-brewing- but the most important thing to them was to have fun, which they still do with every single batch. No matter if they are brewing 50 litres or thousands, they are always willing to try something new, exotic or quirky to excite your taste buds.
These craft brothers are relentlessly experimental, and whether they are up in the hills of Wellington collecting wild flowers to ferment, coming up with new ways to brew old classics, or testing out their latest surprising flavour combinations on willing participants, they will always be a magnet for craft beer enthusiasts and lovers of long yarns.
