Solensis is a tribute to the solar system and its influences on the Earth, Nature and vineyards. The sun allows the berries to concentrate in sugar, in colour and in tannins, while the Moon strongly influences the growth of the vines through its action on the sap flow. This organic wine is emblematic of the Mediterranean vineyard, elegant solar and generous.

Wine Enthusiast named his winery Europe’s best in 2011, but Gerard Bertrand began as a rugby player for France and Narbonne. It wasn’t until the early death of his father that he returned to take the reigns of the family operation, Domaine de Villemajou in Boutenac, Corbieres. He soon identified the potential of the Languedoc-Roussillon to produce rich yet bright, modern wines suited to world market trends and from there began acquiring labels and properties across the region. Balancing an organic and increasingly biodynamic viticulture with an evangelical zeal for exporting his Mediterranean ‘Art de Vivre’, Gerard Bertrand has quickly become one of the most important champions of that which epitomises Southern French wine of today: superb quality in quantity.
