Stability requires flexibility. That’s why we in Andriano don’t simply allow things to drift in the stream of time. Instead, we recognize the changes that time brings and seek to develop along with them. In 1893, the vintners of Andriano took a decisive step and combined their skills and energies to form the first co-operative of winemakers in South Tyrol. With dedication and a keen sense of taste, they strove to constantly achieve and maintain a level of quality that can stand the test of time – and they have been striving since 2008 under the aegis of the Terlano Wine Cellars. Wine is at once a process of becoming and a state of being. In Andriano, both have a dynamic quality characterized by constant motion. They reflect their constant quest for new ways to convey time-honored traditions into the present and to preserve them for the future. The secret of making a special wine consists of more than just diligent work in the vineyards and in the wine cellar. Devotion, careful attention, and a passionate love of the soil, the vine, and the grape are needed. A passion expressed in every vintage of Andriano. Oltradige is characterised by a wonderful symbiosis of North and South, of Alpine and Mediterranean vegetation. On the right side of the Adige lies the dreamy village of Andriano at an elevation of 285 meters above sea-level. The mountain is covered with vineyards, fruit orchards, and forests, and the idyllic landscape offers a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Rich fruit orchards and vineyards, cool yew forests, natural ponds, and white-water brooks are just some of the attractions Andriano offers. Andriano is well worth a visit.
