People and passion have created Kirrihill Wines. It all started with two young men and a vision, plus passion and drive to create their dream. That dream was to build a winery business that would produce world class wines from cool climate vineyards, established by the two in the region in which they had family heritage with since the 1870s.
Located in the picturesque Clare Valley of South Australia, Kirrihill is a progressive and innovative wine business dedicated to producing exceptional quality wines. Our story began because two local Clare Valley boys, who had been ‘kicking around the dirt’ of the region since the 1960s, wanted to create something that was special; a platform which allowed the region to really become the hero through showcasing the fabulous wines produced from stunning vineyards and great terroir.
In 1998 Kirrihill Wines was established, and a state of the art winery was built to complement the vineyards and ensure that Kirrihill was able to capture the essence of Clare Valley, from the vineyard to the bottle. That passion for quality continues today with the Kirrihill team dedicated to not only producing stunning, hand-crafted wines which deliver the essence of Clare, but also striving to raise the bar with every vintage. This spirit and ethic has seen Kirrihill honoured with more than 500 awards, both domestically and internationally, since its first vintage in 1998.
