Providore P Series White Label 2019

"Immensely complex and inviting, the wine shows dark berry, smoked game, almond and fragrant spice aromas with a gorgeous floral overtone. The goal when creating the P Series was to showcase the influence of winemaking philosophy on Pinot Noir from Central Otago. The techniques applied in the making of this wine have been based on Central Otago’s traditional methods. The ethos behind this style is to ensure the wine is full bodied, fruit driven, structured and powerful. This style is responsible for Central Otago’s massive international success and makes the wine uniquely Central Otago.
"It takes resilience and determination to survive and thrive in the beautiful but harsh environment of Central Otago. From the first people to set foot here, to the surveyors and gold miners, farmers, orchardists and wine growers — these hardworking people have done just that. Generation after generation, they have shaped the land and made the very best of this place we all call home. At Providore, we make wine that honours these remarkable people.
The name Providore means supplier and our intent is just that — to provide people with a true taste of our world. Our privilege is to live in this region and to live amongst people and an environment that is constantly evolving. Together we are learning to live better with the land that gifts us our lifestyle and our livelihood.
The very nature of Central Otago is what makes is so special and why we love it so much. North, south and east — its diversity forms a patchwork of microclimates. All perfect for grape growing, each with a distinct personality. From the bright berry fruit of Gibbston to the dark fruit of Queensberry, Bannockburn’s ripe complexity and Alexandra’s dry herb textures — character shaped by craggy mountains and tranquil lakes, gentle slopes and contrasting soils. Combined, they form a complex palate of flavours that paint a picture you can taste.
We are Providore — dedicated to our craft and providing for our region."
