Cardrona Distillery was founded in 2015 by Desiree Reid in the remote Cardrona Valley, nestled between Queenstown and Wānaka in New Zealand’s Southern Alps. Built on the site of a historic gold-mining settlement, the distillery was created with a bold ambition: to produce world-class spirits using time-honoured methods, local ingredients and alpine conditions.
