Natural questioners and observers, Sarah Adamson and Greg Lane have honed their winemaking craft for 13 years, traveling the world with unstoppable curiosity and many years of dreaming before finally launching Scout Wines in 2017.
One from the deep south of New Zealand with a natural instinct for wine from her parents, the other from South Australia playing hide and seek in their grandpa’s wine cellar, together they combine passion and experience from two of the greatest winemaking regions in the whole Pacific.
These wines are aptly named after Scout from the book To Kill A Mockingbird, a character defined by the same curiosity that drove Sarah and Adam to craft the impeccable wines that they do today, traveling far and wide to learn, understand and appreciate great wine

Scout wines have the ability to transport you to a certain time, place, or memory of the people around you. Each barrel is made from carefully selected fruit from around the magnificent Otago lakes and mountains, picked from the rugged terrains and fresh open air. Textural, layered, and perfectly balanced, Scout Wines are the pinnacle of everything that the stunning region has to offer, with vine and fruit combinations carefully selected many years before they are lovingly fermented into the wine you get to enjoy today. Drinkability at its maximum, these wines are just as enjoyable now as they will be in five years’ time.
