On the palate, vanilla, ripe fruit, maple syrup, toast and bitter chocolate. To finish, clean and lingering sweetness with a hint of Madeira that slowly fades.

CRAFTING THE FUTURE OF BOURBON

In the heart of Louisville, Kentucky, Angel’s Envy was established by Bourbon Hall of Fame member and Master Distiller, Lincoln Henderson, alongside his son, Wes Henderson.

With a rich legacy and an innovative spirit, Angel’s Envy transformed the bourbon and rye landscape through a unique “secondary finishing” technique. By first maturing their whiskey in charred oak barrels and then transferring it to secondary finishing casks, they’ve created a distinct blend of refined complexity and inviting flavour.

During the aging process, the 5% of spirit lost each year is known as the “Angel’s Share.” Upon tasting their finished whiskey, Lincoln joked that they had finally struck a better deal than the angels. Thus, Angel’s Envy was born.

A native of Kansas City, Owen now proudly calls Louisville home, where he is redefining and crafting the future of bourbon at the Angel’s Envy distillery. With a background and passion for maturing, blending, and the art of secondary finishing, he is continually searching for new ways to offer an unparalleled bourbon and rye experience by pushing the boundaries of distillation.

With Owen’s extensive knowledge of secondary casks, he ensures exceptional quality across all our expressions, core offerings, and limited-edition collections. He takes pride in his role at a leading distillery on Louisville’s Whiskey Row. Owen’s proven experience in product development and experimentation makes him the perfect fit to lead Angel’s Envy into an exciting future.
