Springbank Distillery was established in 1828 on the site of Archibald Mitchell’s illicit still in Campbeltown, on Scotland’s Kintyre Peninsula. Founded by the Mitchell family, whose links to the town stretch back to the 1660s, Springbank passed to Archibald’s sons John and William in 1837 and later became part of J&A Mitchell. Remarkably, that family connection continues almost two centuries later. As Campbeltown’s whisky industry rose, declined and ultimately revived, Springbank endured — preserving traditional skills that many distilleries abandoned. Today it remains one of Scotland’s most distinctive whisky houses, producing Springbank, Longrow and Hazelburn single malts at its historic Campbeltown home. View the full range below
