Nikka Coffey Grain is a silky Japanese grain whisky from Miyagikyo, distilled predominantly from corn in traditional Coffey stills. Matured in re-filled, remade and re-charred American oak, it showcases Nikka’s heritage and craft with a plush, tropical fruit profile—refined for sipping, effortless in a highball, and an elegant gift.

Tasting Notes & Experience

Nose of ripe pear, apricot nectar and blossom drifting over vanilla pod and honey. The palate is creamy and mouth-coating with caramelised papaya, citrus zest and gentle oak sweetness. It finishes long and polished, with bourbon-vanilla, soft spice and a lingering echo of tropical fruit.

Craftsmanship & Story

Inspired by Masataka Taketsuru’s Scottish training, Nikka installed two traditional Coffey stills in the 1960s. Though inefficient, these continuous stills preserve grain character, yielding a distinctive, velvety spirit. Launched in 2012, Coffey Grain was created to celebrate this singular house style.
