A NOBLE ORIGIN
Home of venerable sea turtles, tiny humming birds, giant butterflies, the majestic Blue Mountains, native orchids and mangrove trees, Jamaica also produces THE WORLD’S GREATEST RUMS. Jamaica glistens in the Caribbean Sea, a mountainous tropical island ringed by white sand beaches and refreshed by lush forests. Locals call their tropical island paradise “The Rock” due to its remote location and fertile limestone soil that covers most of the island, making it the perfect growing conditions for sugar cane.
RUM MAKING HERITAGE
First introduced by Spanish settlers in the 17th century, sugar cane shaped the country’s history, industry and economy. Jamaica developed and sustained exclusive production methods that continue to produce unparalleled rums. Jamaican rums are FULL-BODIED EXPRESSIONS of the terroir’s aromatic power. This inspired us to create Canerock Jamaican Spiced Rum.
A UNIQUE 'FUNKY' CHARACTER
Long fermentations and traditional pot still distillation produces rums with an unmistakable “funky” profile. Unique, traditional Jamaican methods give Canerock its distinctive character.
TWO LEGENDARY JAMAICAN DISTILLERIES
Canerock Jamaican Spiced Rum is a BLEND OF TRADITIONAL RUMS from two legendary distilleries that have defined Jamaican rum for centuries. At their height in the 19th century, Jamaica’s rum distilleries numbered 140 and exported all over the globe. Only six distilleries remain today, each with its own style.
Clarendon and Long Pond continue to proudly represent the diversity of Jamaican rums. Between them, these two legendary production facilities share centuries of savoir-faire in fermentation, pot and column still distillation, blending and ageing techniques.
In operation for over 250 years, Long Pond distillery is renowned for its inimitable, heavy, funky pot still rums, crafted with ancestral methods kept secret throughout its long history.
Still shrouded in mystery, the legend of Long Pond lives on in its unforgettable expressions.
Long Pond Distillery - Long Pond rums give Canerock Jamaican Spiced Rum its signature high-intensity character and structure.
Clarendon Distillery - Near the luxuriant Portland Bight wetlands on the island’s southern shore, the distillery is surrounded with sugarcane fields used to make its own molasses.
