Craftsmanship & Story

Established in 2002 by Marlborough pioneers Ivan Sutherland and James Healy, Dog Point was created to pursue site-expressive, hands-on winemaking after their formative years at Cloudy Bay. The estate is now New Zealand’s largest certified organic vineyard, centred in the Southern Valleys where old vines and clay-loam soils shape wines of structure and minerality.

Hand harvesting, indigenous yeast fermentation and extended barrel ageing form the backbone of their philosophy, producing Chardonnays noted for texture, restraint and longevity rather than overt oak or sweetness.
