A delicate, slightly coppery, pink. The first nose is floral, elegant, and finely fruity, with aromas of pink grapefruit and vine peach. Touches of dried fruit and grilled almond evolve towards patisseries (brioch) and lightly toasty notes. Diaphanous, with tremendous enthusiasm, the champagne ER2 opens up after airing, developing more complex notes of spices, preserved lemon zest, mandarin, and white peach. The mouth is ample, with slightly buttery notes that are perfectly balanced by the freshness of citrus and fresh hazelnut, leading to a soaring finish of great persistence, underlined by a magnificently chalky minerality.

Champagne Fleur de Miraval is the first Champagne house dedicated exclusively to the production of Rosé. This project, five years in the making, is a collaboration between three families: iconic winemaking families Champagne Pierre Péters, in Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Famille Perrin of Château de Beaucastel in the Rhône valley and Château de Miraval owners, the Jolie-Pitt family.
Miraval is a Rosé specialist with a story unlike any other. The property covers 500 hectares of land in the heart of Provence near the town of Correns and is literally its own private valley with woodland, streams and abundance of native fauna. In the heart of this valley lies the Chateau, Cellars and a stunning terraced vineyard. Natural clay and chalk soils compliment warm days and cool nights to bring freshness and delicacy to the grapes ripened on these hillsides and the cascading stone walled terraces that hold these vines have now been lovingly restored.
In 1970 the Miraval property was purchased by the well- known jazz pianist and composer Jacques Loussier who turned it in to a recording studio – Le Studio de Miraval. There a number of talented musicians including Pink Floyd, Sting, Sade, The Cranberries and The Gypsy Kings came to record. More recently the property has been purchased by Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie who have partnered with the Perrin family of Southern Rhone fame to manage the viticulture and winemaking for the Pitt - Jolie family.
Clonal selection, plant husbandry and vinification techniques have all gone under the meticulous Perrin microscope. The resultant wines are a wonderfully gentle expression of this stunning terroir, oh so elegant and refined with an excellent thread of acidity and beautiful colour. Now rated as among the world’s best still Rosé wines.
