Sea Lovers Gin is an exceptionally fine artisan gin distilled in New Zealand with oyster shells, kelp & rosemary. It has been distilled in a 1000 litre hand beaten copper pot still, using a combination of maceration and vapour infusing techniques in a single shot process. The spirit is then rested for three weeks to allow the flavours to marry and settle before proofing down to bottle strength slowly over several days. All aspects of distillation and production are carried out at Sea Lovers distillery in Auckland, New Zealand.

Every detail, from the craft of the gin to its packaging, reflects care and sustainability. The bottle is made of 100% post-consumer recycled glass, the stopper is natural cork, and no plastic is used.

INSPIRATION

Sea Lovers Gin is a collaboration between Matt Bridge of Lunatic & Lover Distillery and Jill Mulvaney, a respected gin consultant and educator. The idea blossomed during an impromptu tasting, where Jill shared her ‘sea’ gin recipe inspired by beach walks after storms. Capturing the scent of sweet rain, salty air, and kelp textures, it resonated deeply with Matt, a sailor with a profound love for the ocean. Together, they created not just a remarkable gin but a conservation-driven project with ambitious goals.
