Craftsmanship & Story
Named after a traditional Highland land-sharing system, ‘RunRig’ celebrates community and heritage — both Scottish and Barossan. Shiraz from ancient dry-grown vineyards is blended with a small proportion of Viognier to enhance fragrance and finesse. Each parcel undergoes long maturation in French oak, resting on fine lees to build extraordinary texture and length. The result is a Barossa Shiraz of majestic power and haunting beauty.
Special Features
Fruit is drawn from some of the Barossa’s oldest Shiraz vines, many over 120 years old, rooted in the red soils of Marananga, Greenock and Lyndoch. Natural malolactic fermentation and minimal intervention preserve purity and depth. The combination of old-vine concentration, Viognier lift and meticulous oak integration defines ‘RunRig’ as one of the world’s great Shiraz wines.
