Waiheke Whisky Dyad II is a limited NZ single malt from Waiheke Island, double-distilled in copper pot stills, aged four years in American oak and finished one year in a local vintage ‘port wine’ cask. Peated Gladfield malt, coastal maturation and a winemaker’s cask craft create a refined, characterful whisky—distinctive, small-batch and gift-worthy.
Tasting Notes & Experience
Dark berry and dried date aromas intertwine with orange peel, vanilla and gentle peat smoke. The palate is rich and mouth-filling: red fruits and caramel over smouldering peat, framed by silky oak. The finish is long, sweet and subtly oaked, with lingering cocoa spice and coastal lift.

Distilled in February 2018 from NZ peated malt and shaped by Waiheke’s maritime climate, Dyad II exemplifies the distillery’s wine-finish series. Head Distiller Patrick Newton crafted both the whisky and the fortified wine that seasoned the finishing cask, marrying coastal smoke with vineyard-born richness for a uniquely island expression.
