The estate takes its name from the stunning Man O’ War Bay so christened in 1769 by early European navigators who saw towering kauri trees fit for man-of-war masts and its story began in the early 1990s with the first plantings of vines on this breath-taking family-owned farm. Over decades that followed, the Spencer family nurtured this wild, rugged terrain into what is now the island’s largest vineyard.
